Classical Pilates Instructor & Artist

CHARLIE CALDWELL

London born and raised, with a heart rooted in my Jamaican heritage and a soul that’s always been drawn to warmth, movement, and meaning.

I live and love life by the sea on the East Coast, the ocean air is sweet and the rhythm of the tide reminds me to soften, breathe and move with intention.

I’ve always been led by feeling and drawn to what’s natural, romantic and quietly powerful. Whether it’s through Pilates, painting or a barefoot walk along the shore, I believe in living gently but deeply, with beauty in the little things and purpose in every step.

Movement has always been my first love and the only way I come home to myself. I crave the kind that stirs every part of you… strong yet soft, grounded yet free. Pilates gives me an elegant control, whilst riding invites something more instinctive, fluid and wild.

I don’t move to chase perfection. I move to feel alive, listen inward and to fall in love with my body over and over again.

My teaching is rooted in Classical Pilates, but it’s woven with intuition, sensuality, and soul.

My love for art runs just as deep.

I’ve been painting since I was a little girl, always with my fingers, using a brush occasionally.

There’s something tender and intuitive about feeling the canvas directly, letting my hands follow emotion before thought.

I paint mostly in an impressionist style, capturing dreamy natural landscapes: golden light caught in a pond, the hush of ocean mist, wildflowers dancing in the wind.

It’s less about perfect lines and more about what lingers, like mood, memory and atmosphere.

Like movement, my art is about feeling.

I want someone to look at my pieces and feel the sun on their skin, or the breeze against their cheek… long before they try to explain it.
